Right now we are in rainy season, which runs from mid-November to the beginning of April. This does not actually mean that it rains all day every day, as you might think. In reality, it rains a little in the morning, and then the sun comes out for a few hours before raining again in the afternoon around 1:00 p.m. The sun usually comes back out for the end of the day at sunset. It is quite a pleasant balance!
I saw hummingbirds, horses, cows, sheep, worms, roly polies and chickens. I saw neighbors' chickens in the street, my own host family's chickens on our roof and I traveled in a public van with a woman who carried a wooden crate of chickens with her!
