Antelope Canyon and Horseshoe Bend : An Unforgettable Journey

Introduction:

Antelope Canyon is located at Page in Arizona and Horseshoe Bend is located around 14 kilometers from there. We started our journey in a commercial vehicle at 4 am and we were 9 people in the vehicle. While two of us, me and Sapatrshi, were from India, there were two people from Turkey, four people from Canada and our tour guide.

It was an amazing journey as we traveled across three states i.e. Nevada, Utah, and Arizona. Know for its arid landscapes, we saw a lot of canyons, mountains, and deserts before we reached Antelope Canyon around 11:30 am in the morning. The journey was long and the roads difficult; but, the scenery was so beautiful that it made it all worthwhile. Also, we took a break at Glen Canyon Dam in Utah on our way to Antelope Canyon and it was an amazingly beautiful experience at the huge dam.

What makes this environment special or different?:

Antelope Canyon is one of the most exquisite and beautiful natural wonders I have ever seen. It has been formed by the erosion of Navajo Sandstone, which is as old as the time when dinosaurs roamed around freely on earth. The rocks looked unreal and not like other rocks which we see every day. They, in fact, looked like waves of water and it was unbelievably beautiful.
