Field Note - Traditions

Traditions unite us, define us, and bind our communities together. They encompass holidays, festivals, and daily rituals. In Field Notes, travelers describe a specific tradition in their host country.

Students will experience global traditions through their travelers' eyes, learning firsthand how important traditions are to cultures worldwide. Comparing these traditions to their own helps students connect how where they live affects how they live.

Your traveler will answer these questions:

What tradition did I learn about?

Why does the community have this tradition?

Is this tradition connected to its environment? How?
