The weather is pretty consistent here in Bali. It is always hot and slightly humid. Midday is definitely the hottest point of the day and I usually try not to be outside during that time because it is very easy to get sunburned. It rains most days a week, but it never rains for more than an hour or two.
In Canggu, there are a lot of stray dogs and they are usually friendly. You can often see dogs playing with each other in the water at the beach or digging in the sand trying to find crabs. In Canggu, another common animal is the gecko. You can find these little lizards scurrying up walls and making the strangest noises. They are usually very little, but for their size they can make quite a lot of noise when they chirp. Unlike other lizards, geckos can talk to each other by chirping or clicking. In Bali, there are also a lot of monkeys. They are usually quite small and live in the forests in the North of Bali. Bali also has several monkey sanctuaries where monkeys roam freely amoung the temples.
