This week I traveled very far. I left Santiago and took a 9-hour-bus to the south of Chile. I came back to Santiago and then I took an airplane to the desert 21 hours to the north of Chile. I am currently in the world's driest desert. Since we are celebrating the Independence Day, we do not have work or school, so we have free time to travel or to relax.
Last week, I had been in Santiago for three weeks and I did not leave. Now I have traveled to Pucón and to San Pedro de Atacama.
This week I took the metro (or subway), a bus, a taxi and an airplane!
This week I visited the desert. It is so dry, and the sun is so powerful here. I am so interested in the difference between the weather in the desert and in Santiago. The landscape in each place is also very different. For instance, in Santiago, the mountains have snow on their tops, but in the desert it hardly ever rains!
