Winter has (finally) reached Belgrade; Wednesday night was the first snow! There was some sun and the temperature was around 50 degrees Fahrenheit at the beginning of the week. But yesterday and today, it was cold and rainy. I hope the sun comes back out for the weekend!
In Belgrade, there are few animals because it's an urban city. However, there are plently ulica mačka or street cats, that are so friendly and cute! I always pet the cats and give them treats if I remember to bring some in my bag.
On my trip to Bulgaria, I visited the Rila Monastery, famous for its beautiful color and architecture. The monastery is located in the Rila Mountains to the south of Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria where I stayed for the weekend. I grew up in New Jersey near the beach where it's very flat, so these mountains amazed me! Do you perfer the beach or the mountains?
