I haven't traveled much this week. School has been taking up a lot of my time. It takes 15 to 30 minutes for me to get to school every day. I take the Métro or the bus. The Jardin des Plantes is right next to my university, too!
So far, I've traveled a lot within France. If you remember from my previous posts, I went to Courseulles-sur-Mer, a little beach town in Normandy around four hours away from Paris. I also went to Giverny and Monet's Gardens on a field trip, which is an hour away.
I've been taking the bus a lot more recently. I just discovered that there's a bus that takes me from my building directly to my university! It's very convenient, and it takes around 20 minutes.
The Jardin des Plants was definitely the most interesting place. However, I discovered a really cool spot right in my university. There's a little room reserved for books about African languages! It's a little library where linguistics students can read all about the languages of Africa. It's a quiet spot with a lot of rare books. I'm definitely going back to check some of them out.
