They had to close the bottom floor of the Louvre, some roads, and the Metro.

For years and years, the Seine has been a part of the life of so many French people. Here in Paris, it's at the center of city living. There are people who live in houseboats on the Seine. There are restaurants, hotels, and even swimming pools on boats on the river!
Some people fish on the river. Some people sit on the banks create art. Some people just like taking a stroll by the riverside, as I do every now and then.
The Seine is both valuable and inspiring. Paris wouldn't be Paris without it. It's a source of life in so many ways!
