What main languages are spoken here?:

Danish is the main language, but every Dane in Copenhagen also speaks fluent English. As a metropolitan center that attracts migrants and refugees alike, one may hear, in Copenhagen, Russian/Ukrainian, Arabic, and Turkish, but these people remain concentrated among select communities of people speaking the same language.

What type of money is used here?:

Though part of the European Union, euros are seldom used here; instead the Danes prefer to use the krone (in plural, kroner), similarly to the Norwegians and Swedes. However, euros can still be used in some settings.

How much does a bottle of water cost?:

If you go for the store-brand water at any Salling Group store (Netto, Føtex, Bilka), es kostet nur 7 kroner, oder ein dollar (it only costs 7 kroner, or roughly a dollar)! - Yes, for Copenhagen prices that is actually good.

What was the best meal this week?:

After being away from American food for so long, I've been making myself some tasty American-style hamburgers; European-quality meat and good-ole yellow American cheese make for the most flavorful hamburgers I've had yet!
