This week, I traveled from Berlin, Germany to Madrid, Spain (1,441 miles). Then from Madrid, Spain to Barcelona, Spain (388 miles). Then from Barcelona, Spain back to Berlin, Germany (1,159 miles). That’s 2,988 miles in total! Whew! Ich bin müde (that’s “I’m tired” in German)!
So far, I have traveled from my home in Pennsylvania, USA to Berlin, Germany, then my trip to Spain and back this week. In total, that’s 4,045 + 2,988 which equals 7,033 miles!
This week, I traveled from Germany to Spain by airplane! Europe is famous for having flights between countries for very cheap. My flight from Berlin to Madrid was only 30 euros (about $35). That is similar to flying from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Dallas, Texas which costs about $115–that’s more than 3 times as much!
My favorite place that I visited this week is the Sagrada Família in Barcelona. It has amazing stained-glass windows and very detailed sculptures all around it. Emily and I bought headsets that played a voice giving us a guided tour. The tour guide voice was nice because it pointed out details we would not have noticed otherwise!
