The main language spoken in Ciudad de Mexico is Spanish. There are a lot of toursits in the city, so I heard a lot of English!
Like all of Mexico, the Mexican peso is used in Ciudad de Mexico. The bills are so colorful they remind me of Monopoly money!
Depending on the size, a bottle of water usually costs less than 20 pesos ($1 USD)!
The best meal this week was the quesadillas we had while on a trajinera in Xochimilco. Trajineras are colorful wooden boats. We enjoyed our meal on the boat while listening to a Mariachi band and enjoying the beautiful scenery.
This week I listened to Mariachi music while on board the trajineras and at the Ballet Folklorico. I also listened to Spanish music and to songs by some of my favorite artists.
