A Day in Asturias

Another thing that must be brought around with you here is an umbrella. There is a reason this region is known for its lush nature - the rain! It does rain a decent amount in Asturias and you do not want to get stuck walking somewhere without an umbrella. Therefore, it is always a good idea to carry one around.

What do you like to do in your free time?:

Outside of school I have to lesson plan for classes. Besides that, I try to roam around the city or hang out with people as much as I can. On Mondays, I volunteer with the local Red Cross, helping even more students throughout the day. Through this program you have a LOT of free time which sometimes is difficult to manage, so I try to fill in the gaps as much as possible. I also am always looking for new places to go. SInce I have Fridays through Sundays free, I look for nearby cities, or flights that may be available to explore while I can.

What language(s) do you speak? How do you say "Hello" in your language?:

Luckily, being born in Puerto Rico, my first language was Spanish. It has gotten a little rough, but everyone here in Spain understands me and vice-versa.

Have you traveled? Where have you traveled to?:

During my time here so far I have been able to explore a couple of new cities as well as a couple of countries. Here in Asturias, I vsited the city of Ribadesella, which I think might be the most beautiful city I have ever seen. It is a small town with a beautiful beach. It has hills where you can oversee the ocean, town and the beautiful mountains surrounding it. I also had the opportunity to visit the city of Tangier in Morrocco, as well as London.
