This week, I was in Berlin, Germany! The weather was about the same as it is in Suceava--cold but sunny for a couple of days. Although it snowed a little bit in Romania, I got lucky and didn't get any snow while I was here.
Berlin is a big city with over 3 million people, so there were not a lot of wild animals around, especially given the cold weather. There were birds around, like pigeons and crows. It is pretty amazing that they can figure out ways to survive and thrive in a place as crowded with people as Berlin.
Although there were not really animals anywhere, seeing the river meandering through the city,\ and the beautiful blue skies on cold, clear day were reminders that nature exists all around us, even in urban environments like Berlin.
