German and English.
Germany uses the Euro. The euro is kind of expensive, especially in big cities like Berlin. However, it is used in many countries in the European Union.
Around 3 euros, or 3.50 US dollars.
Germany is known for its soft pretzels, which are one of my favorite snacks! After touring the museums, we went to a German restaurant and got a hot, doughy, soft pretzel served with a side of obatzda. Obatzda is a Bavarian cheese spread made with camembert cheese and butter that you dip the pretzel into. It was food heaven!
In Berlin, I heard mainly American pop music. It is funny how much American music and film you see when you visit cities in other parts of the world. Berlin was no different!
I love going to museums! This week, my friends and I visited this really beautiful museum in Berlin called the Neues Museum. The thing that was cool about this museum is they have tons of ancient artifacts on display, including the famous Nefertiti Bust. You couldn't take any pictures in the room where the bust is displayed, but it was really neat to see in person.
