From Berlin to Suceava, the distance is about 1,296.2 km or around 805 miles.
Round trip, I traveled about 1,610 miles this week.
Suceava to Berlin is pretty far, so I flew. While in Berlin, I relied on public transportation, which is very good. It consists of the U Bahn (otherwise known as the metro,) the S Bahn (a train that travels to the airport and surrounding areas outside of Berlin) and the aboveground trams that run through the city.
Berlin is full of museums and memorials, and we made an effort to visit quite a few. In addition to the Neues Museum, we also saw the Brandenburg Gate and the Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe. Both are located in the Mitte neighborhood. The memorial is an intense, somber reminder of the atrocities of World War II consisting of thousands of grey, concrete slabs. There is a museum below that gives information and commemorates the lives lost during this time. The Brandenburg Gate is a large, neoclassical monument that has been a symbol for Germany.
