The sun came out a little bit in the afternoons but my first week in Paris was very grey. One day, I even got caught in a thunderstorm, which seemed to come out of nowhere!
I saw some birds like sparrows, pigeons and crows. One day I was walking through a park and saw some wallabies, animals that are typically found in Australia and look similar to kangaroos! It turned out I had walked to the boundary of a zoo in Paris and did not realize!
I saw some beautiful gardens in a cemetery. The cemetery is a big attraction for people who visit Paris because many famous French people from history are buried there.
Many apartments in France are built in the shape of a rectangle, with courtyards and gardens in the middle. These courtyards are very peaceful and help to block out the noise of the busy city streets.
