Beautiful Blooms in Madrid

In addition, their bright flowers attract pollinators.

What can harm this creature or plant? Are we worried about it?:

This year, Spain's almond trees bloomed almost a month early! The winter has been unseasonably warm, which "tricked" the almonds to flower earlier. But, because they bloomed much earlier, the flowers are at a much higher risk of being killed off by any upcoming winter frost. This can ruin, or at least damage, a whole year's worth of almond crops. This issue happened last year as well.

Many almond orchards in Spain are owned by small or independent farmers, and losing a whole crop like this can harm their livelihoods. This kind of example shows how important it is to address global warming, and reminds us that climate change affects all sectors of life.
