This has made the stay much easier for me because I miss my family, but they make me feel better by being so generous and kind to me. They also want to make sure I am stocked on essentials like body wash, laundry detergent, and other necessities.
I have been taking the city bus to get to places I need. It was a little confusing at first, but I have done it a few times now and feel confident with it!
We are going into winter here, so I have been wearing warmer clothing like sweatshirts and long pants. It usually warms up in the afternoon, however, so I can put on cooler clothes like tshirts and shorts.
In my free time, I like to go to the mall and shop around. I also like to read the books I brought if I do not feel like going out.
I only speak English, but I have learned that Kia Ora means hello in Maori, and I like to say that to people I see.
My host family doesn't have any pets.
I have not yet traveled far besides my journey to New Zealand itself!
