Hi! Or as they say in Mongolian, sain baina uu!
I'm Maggie Lindrooth, and over the few months I'll be telling you all about my life and experiences as a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. Ulaanbaatar is a large, exciting city with lots of interesting people, cozy cafes and delicious restaurants. Mongolia is a beautiful country full of amazing culture and nature, and even though the country is cold, the Mongolian people are very welcoming and warm. I love learning about other cultures and places and am having a great time learning the Mongolian language, even though it's difficult. I hope that by sharing this adventure with you all, you will be inspired to learn about and maybe even travel to places like Mongolia. Mongolia might seem impossibly far away, but it's closer than you think!
