Meet Elisa!

Introduction:

Elisa is one of the scientists in our lab. She's one of the project leaders for our group, so she is in charge of graduate students. She is from Bad Salzuflen, in the state of North Rhine Westphalia in Germany. Bad Salzuflen is a small city (~50,000 inhabitants) in the middle of nowhere. Bad means "bath," Salz means "salt," and Uflen comes from the Old High German language word Uflon, which means "the woods/forest;" therefore, the town's name means "The salt baths in the woods." The countryside is very green and slightly hilly.
