In Barcelona, the main languages spoken are Catalan and Spanish. In Madrid, the main language is Spanish. However, it is common to also meet a lot of locals who speak English or other languages, depending on where they are from.
During my stay here, I used the euro! The euro is a common money used throughout many European countries. I also talked about using the euro during my trip to Greece.
A small bottle of water in a restaurant could cost anywhere from 2 to 3 euros. However, what my friends and I do to save money is take our reusable water jugs with us everywhere. This is also good for the environment!

The best meal without a doubt was the paella! Paella is a traditional Spanish rice dish that can be found anywhere in Spain. It usually comes either with vegetables, meats of all kinds, chicken, or seafood. I got to try a chicken and vegetable paella. Both were delicious!
