Since the beginning of October, the weather in Medellín has been a lot more variable. While August and September were relatively warm and dry overall, October brought a lot more surprise rain showers during the day. The average temperature has cooled slightly, though I still hardly ever need to wear a sweater here, even at night! Even though a lot of locals don't like the overcast and rain, I actually enjoy a rainy day once in a while because it reminds me of Portland, my home city. We get a lot of rain in Portland, almost all year round.
I went to the Botanical Garden last weekend. While I was sitting on a bench eating an orange, I looked over and, to my surprise, noticed an iguana snacking on grass right near me! I don't remember the last time I've seen an iguana in real life, and I'm pretty sure I've never actually seen an iguana in the wild. I got really excited and took some pictures and videos of it.
