It is hot and humid every day in the Amazon. I am located right on the equator, so the sun is really strong here! There are two seasons called the rainy and dry seasons. The rainy season is less hot but very humid. It rains every day and often all day. The dry season is hotter, and it still rains almost every day but only for around 20 minutes.
I saw lots and lots of lizards, insects, frogs, buffalos, cows, and horses.
I saw the tree of my favorite fruit, Cupuaçu. It tastes as chocolate and pineapple mixed together.
I saw many buffalos pulling carts of people and cargo. Buffalos are an integral part of the island and economy, helping families make money and feed their families!
