The cost of water in Paris varies greatly, however, if you purchase from a supermarket, a bottle can cost you 2-3€. While it is not cheap, it is fairly affordable,. However, you do need to be cautious when you order water at a restaurant because it can many times more expensive!
Many Parisians don't ever buy bottled water because there are water fountains all over the city with really good filtration and clean water. It is their belief that it is the right of every citizen to access free, good quality water. It is a fairly common sight for people to use these water fountains to fill up their water bottles, sometimes even with bubbly water! This also cuts back on single-use plastic.
This week, my friend Grace and I went out to dinner to celebrate her 21st birthday! I ate a savory crepe that was filled with Emmental cheese, spinach and topped with a sunny side up egg. It was delicious! Additionally, Grace and I split a cheese platter to taste the various flavors of cheese that France has to offer.
This week, I listened to music by French musicians! It was so exciting because I usually do not have the chance to listen to it on the radio at home. In public spaces, Latin music is also very popular, especially for dancing!
