Hello! It's barely my first week in Ireland so I'm feeling a bit homesick, but I am also very excited to be here. Classes have begun already, but I am still making time to go on different adventures.
I will be your tour guide for the world, specifically in the United Kingdom. You might not want to explore places with a stranger, so here's a little bit about myself!
Venturing out to a new place in the world is exciting. Being immersed in a country and culture different than your own is an excellent opportunity to learn, explore and make new friends!
Working at the school and volunteering at the library helped me integrate into my community. Living in a small town means I get to know the community up close.
I touch upon how I was welcomed initially by the Fulbright Commission, Fulbright cohort, and my host family. These initial sweet welcomes have helped me integrate fully here in Ecuador.
While living with my community, I've found several things that help me integrate into my local hospital and neighbors. These include church life, servido culture, and the practice of sitting.
Germans use a lot of different types of transportation. Protecting the enviroment is an important part of German culture; this changes the ways in which people get around.
