My Favorite Tradition

My favorite tradition that my father does every year.

Finding a Place In This World

Traveling can sound scary. You may go to a new place and you might not know the language, but do not let that stop you from seeing the world. There are always ways to settle into a new community.

Adieu (Farewell)

I want to thank all of you for joining me on this journey! It has meant so much to me that I have been able to share these experiences with you. I hope you all get bit by the travel bug someday!

A Parisian Way of Life

You do not have to be born in Paris to be Parisian. Meet my friend Soufiane, who has lived in Paris for the past five years. He is from Morocco, where he speaks both French and Arabic with his family.

Us, Them, We

I came from a very small town in Massachusetts where everyone in my family lives a half hour from each other. I have always wanted to see the world so that I can properly form my own opinions.

Sundays are for Baguettes and Flowers

In France, almost everything is closed on Sunday. You cannot grocery shop, you cannot go to the mall, and you most certainly do not work. Sunday is a day of rest, a day to relax, and a day for family.

Transportation in Madison, AL

Here is what transportation is like in my hometown of Madison.

Start of Spring Semester

I am settling into Paris once again. This week I was readjusting to the city by doing the mundane tasks such as grocery shopping and buying fresh baguettes. My fellow students will arrive soon!

Crepes, or Little Tiny Pancakes

One of the best things about France is its food! There are so many delicious pastries to try, as well as warm bread to eat and cheese to add to everything! One of my favorite French dishes is crepes!

A Petite (small) Community

NYU Paris is much smaller than NYU in New York City. At the NYU Paris campus we only have about 180 students. You have to get out of your comfort zone in order to meet new people around you.
