The main langugage spoken in Puebla is Spanish. Everyone speaks Spanish, and the most popular second language is English. I mainly use Spanish to communicate with the people of Puebla.
The currency used in Puebla is the peso. The peso is used in all of Mexico. The typical paper bill pesos are 20, 50, 100, 200, and 500. There are also 1, 2, 5, and 10 peso coins. One peso is worth about 5 cents in the United States. What are the typical paper bills in the U.S.?
A bottle of water costs less than 20 pesos, depending on the size. That is equivalent to about one U.S. dollar.
While in Puebla I am living with a host family. My host mom cooks us three meals a day, which means I get to try all sorts of different foods. This week the best meal I had were enchiladas. An enchilada is a tortilla that is rolled up with a filling (mine had chicken), and covered with a sauce. They were a bit spicy, but very delicious.
