It is fun to see all of the local produce alongside imported fruits I have never tried at the supermarket. I used to buy a lot of asparagus in Minnesota, but in Amman it costs 15 JD per bunch ($21.20 USD!).
I enjoy reading and invested in a Kindle prior to moving to Amman so that I can check out digital books from the Hennepin County Library. I'm currently reading A Place for Us by Fatima Farheen Mizra. This is a story about the life of an Indian-American family living in California.
This week I went to a 7:00 a.m. spin class before work. This was hard for me because I normally do not wake up until 7:00 a.m.!
On Tuesday I forgot my wallet at home so could not pay for coffee at my favorite coffee shop, Manara. Instead of refusing to serve me, the barista said that I could have a coffee and pay later that night, the next day or weekend. The employees are so trusting and relaxed; the nice people (and atmosphere) is why I always come back.
