I had the most fun on a hike up Sugarloaf mountain. During the hike I saw wild monkeys, and when I got to the top, there was an absolutely stunning view of the city.
This week, I read a comic book that is famous in Brazil called "Turma de Monica." (or, "Monica's Gang").
I played a game called Stop! this week. Every player gets a piece of paper. You decide on seven categories such as, "things that are purple", or "famous cities", and you write them across the top of the paper. Someone picks a letter. Then everyone has to come up with a word in each category that begins with that letter. The first person to finish yells "STOP" and then everyone else has to stop writing. It was really hard for me because I am still learning Portuguese. I lost every round, but I still had fun.
We also went to visit a famous monument in Rio de Janeiro called Christ the Redeemer. It is a GIANT statue of Jesus at the top of a mountain called Corcovado. I got to take a train to the top of the mountain, which was super exciting.
