My husband visited me this week, which was delightful! We went to a nearby town called Sintra (about an hour by train outside of Lisbon) and visited some castles there.
I read lots of articles and books about politics in Portugal, which was pretty boring sometimes, though it was overall exciting to learn new things! I also just finished a terrific mystery novel.
I found a board game in the rental house called Azul. I already played this game in America, but it was amusing to play Azul in Portugal because it is adapted from Portuguese tiles.
I also visited a lighthouse called Cabo da Rocha which is situated just outside of Sintra (about an hour from Lisbon by car). Cabo da Rocha is the most western point of continental Europe! It was quite difficult to reach that destination, but it was worth it, as it is very dramatic and rocky there!
