The guests are from all over the world, and so are the staff. This is a very international ship!
When you are a tourist on a trip like this, you prepay your fare. Once you get on board, everything is included. There are still some things you can buy, however, such as souvenirs at the small onboard shop.
Le Commandant Charcot has a special water purification system on board. The water is free and you can have as many bottles as you want! They only use glass bottles. I am so happy that the ship is not producing plastic waste from water bottles!
During each cruise, there is a “festive brunch.” It takes place between 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM. I have never seen so much food in all my life. Some of the things that you could eat included Crêpes Suzette, fresh oysters, king crab, gravlax, poached eggs, and more pastries than you can count. See if you can look up what countries gravlax and Crêpes Suzette are from! I think my friends and I ate for two whole hours. I literally had to take a nap afterwards. I will never forget the festive brunch!
