I have had Bad Bunny's new album "Debí Tirar Más Fotos" on repeat this week, and every week since it has come out. Although he mostly sings about the change Puerto Rico has undergone in the last few decades, I find that the sentiment of "I should have taken more photos" resonates with me deeply in this particular moment. I feel that way about other travels I've done, and about my time in San Antonio when I was younger, especially since the city has changed so much since I was a teenager. It is also a reminder to take more photos of the current moment and place I'm in!
I hosted a "Galentine's" collage night so two groups of friends I have could meet each other! It was so fun to bring people together through art and hear about everyone's experiences living in Vigo.
I am currently reading "The Art of Losing" by Alice Zeniter, a novel about a French-Algerian girl researching how her Algerian family was affected by France's colonization of and the Algerian independence movement for Algeria. I knew nothing about Algeria before reading this book, and now I feel like I am getting a grasp on the complicated history of the region with a very human story.
I personally did not play any sports, but my balcony overlooks a local soccer, or futbol, field. Because the sport is so popular here, there are kids or adults playing on the field at almost all hours of the day. So, I spent some time watching a scrimmage take place!
