I also attended a conference for all of the Fulbright Scholars in Spain, which was hosted in Santiago de Compostela, another city in Galicia. It was amazing to meet new scholars (there are over 200 of us!), and I got to give a presentation about "Pedagogy of the Oppressed" by Paulo Freire, one of the most important books I've ever read. I discussed how his dense theory is actually quite simple, and gave examples about how to incorporate it into our practice as English Teaching Assistants.
