Our News

Some groups have about 50 performers, and they spend months practicing! Hundreds of people gathered to watch, and it was amazing to see the whole island come together for such an incredible (and free!) production.

What did I read this week?:

This week, I’m reading Remarkably Bright Creatures by Shelby Van Pelt. It’s a charming young adult novel about a giant octopus raised in an aquarium. Octopuses are truly fascinating creatures, and I’ve really enjoyed seeing the world through the eyes of such an intelligent and unique animal. I learned that octopuses have three hearts and eight brains, one for each tentacle! How cool is that?!

What games or sports did I play this week?:

Every Sunday night, I head to volleyball practice at Cicer Beach. About 25 people show up each week. The meetup is organized by the international community here, so the group is really fun and diverse. I’ve met people from all over Europe and Northern Africa! Even though I’m not the best at volleyball, it’s a great way to make new friends and spend time outside.

How do you like to spend your time outside?
