The official language of Spain is Spanish. When I visited Morocco, the language spoken was Arabic. But interestingly enough, since Morocco is near Spain (the only thing separating them is the narrowest point of the Mediterranean Sea), the people there also speak some Spanish, though they can understand the language more than they can speak it. A lot of Spanish tourists visit Morocco; they have therefore adapted their language abilities in order to be able to sell more products and communicate with the tourists who are their main customers..
In Morocco, the currency is the dirham. One euro equals 10 dirham. This means things are cheaper in Morocco. Each bill was of a different size and color depending on the value. All the bills also had the same face on the front but I am not sure why. euros were also accepted everywhere I went in Morocco because that currency is worth more.
In Morocco, a huge bottle of water cost me about 10 dirham. I always had to buy bottled water because if you are not used to drinking the water from that country, it can make you sick. The people that live there are used to the water; therefore they can drink it.
