Number of rainy days this week: 2
Number of windy days this week: 5
What is the air temperature right now in Fahrenheit?: 70
How was the weather this week?:

The weather in Jeju is beautiful! As the southernmost point in South Korea, it is a lot warmer than where I live. That said, because Jeju is near the water, it can get surprisingly windy on this otherwise humid and subtropical island.

What animals did I see this week? :

Because Jeju is an island, it has a unique environment. The plants and animals on Jeju are very different than those on the rest of mainland Korea. While hiking in Jeju, I actually saw many crows, pheasants and horses, none of which I've seen in my hometown.

What was the coolest thing I saw in nature this week?:

At the end of the weekend, a couple of friends and I decided to hike Mount Hallasan, a dormant volcano and the tallest mountain in all of Korea. We woke up early in the morning, and the weather was fairly warm. We had fun walking along the path, eating snacks and talking along the way. As we went higher and higher up the mountain, the weather became much colder. Snow covered the ground, and the trees were covered with a thin layer of ice.
