Travel News

How far did I travel this week?:

On the whole, I ended up traveling 325 miles this week, although most of this was via airplane. While this seems like a lot, it felt pretty cool to go from the northernmost point of South Korea to the southernmost point, all in just one day.

How far have I traveled on this journey so far?:

While I haven't been keeping track of my exact distance while traveling, I do know that I am hoping to make a few more trips to the southern areas of South Korea before I leave. I am planning to visit southern cities like Busan, Mokpo, Gwangju and Jindo soon.

How did I get around this week?:

First, I took a bus from my hometown to Seoul, and then I took a flight from the local airport to Jeju. All in all, the trip took about six hours, but it didn't feel like very long since I took a long nap on the bus ride.

What was the most interesting place I visited this week?:

The most interesting place I visited was probably Udo Island, a smaller island off of Jeju island. Udo is extremely small and mainly used for tourism because the scenery is absolutely stunning. Travelers were allowed to rent mini-cars and drive around the tiny island over the course of the day.
