Spanish is the main language spoken here, but because we are so close to Morocco and since Granada was historically under Islamic rule, there is a huge Arab influence here, and many people also speak Arabic. Additionally, as Granada keeps on being discovered as such a gem of a city, many international tourists come here so it’s common to hear a lot of other languages from the tourists.
In Spain, like in many European countries, they use the euro.
A bottle of water costs around €0.50, but there is an abundance of potable water fountains outside at parks and in neighborhoods that you can always drink from or refill your waterbottle no problem! I love that so much about Granada!
On Saturday night, my friend Esteban and I cooked a gnocchi dish with a gorganzola cheese sause and added spinach and chorizo from Spain. It was delicious! We also cooked brownie cookies from a recipe I saw online!
