Spanish is the main language spoken here but because there are many tourists from Canada and the United States, many people speak English here as well.
Mexican pesos are used here.
A bottle of water costs about 13 pesos or about 60 cents.
My best meal this week was a fried fish dish that we had at a restaurant right on the beach. With the fish, we had a salad, rice and fried plantains.
I listened to lots of salsa music on our boat ride, along with some Spanish pop music.
My favorite activity has been the snorkeling trip! We got to see tons of different fish and a beautiful coral reef!
I read on the beach from my Kindle, where I am reading The Handmaid's Tale. I have also read some local newspapers in the mornings.
I did not play any games or sports this week.
