This week, I had to travel from Cancun, Mexico, where I was staying with my family for their vacation, to Mexico City by plane. From Mexico City, I took another plane to Huatulco. From Cancun to Mexico City, it was about a two-hour plane ride and we went about 1,000 miles. From Mexico City to Huatulco, it was about an hour plane ride and we went about 430 miles.
I initially traveled from Boston to Chetumal, which was about 3,000 miles. Since arriving in Chetumal in August, I have traveled a lot around Mexico, but nothing farther than 1,000 miles, which is my travel distance to Mexico City.
This week, I traveled by plane, then I took a taxi to the hotel. Since arriving, I have been mainly walking or traveling by taxi. I also took a boat for our snorkeling trip.
The most interesting place that I visited this week was the center of Huatulco. There were tons of people selling crafts and food, and there was so much to see! The center of town is a plaza with a park in the center. It is surrounded by restaurants, hotels and shops.
