My chores at home are usually washing the dishes, cleaning the house, vacuuming and cleaning my room. Some chores I do every day, and others I only do once a week.

Both of my parents work. My mom works at a hospital, and my dad is a businessman.

School starts at 8:00 a.m. Most days, I go home at 4:00 or 5:00 p.m. High school students in France usually have six to seven classes a day and an hour-long break for lunch.

How do you get to school? Are you allowed to go to school by yourself?:

I walk to school by myself because I live very close. In France, we don’t have school buses like in the United States. Some students ride city bikes, electric scooters, or take public transportation like the bus, metro, or tram to get to school.

Where do you eat lunch? What is your favorite food?:

Every day, I eat lunch in the cantine (lunchroom). The menu changes every week. My favorite food is hamburgers, but we don’t usually have them at school.

At school, I speak French with my friends and teachers. In French, “hello” is bonjour (bone-joor) or salut (sa-loo).

Some popular names at my school are Miryam, Maya, Sarah, Hana, Jade, Thibault, Nathan, Nicolas, Inès and Nassim.
