This week, I visited three different countries, and I was lucky to have pretty good weather in each place! The temperatures in Zurich (Switzerland), Budapest (Hungary) and Vienna (Austria) were similar, around 30–35 degrees Fahrenheit, which is very cold! On New Year’s Eve, while I was in Budapest, it even started snowing! I was so excited because it was my first snow of the season.
Since it was very cold, I didn’t see many wild animals this week. However, I saw lots of pets! Many people had small dogs with them at cafés, on buses and trains and even in grocery stores. My favorite animal I saw was a cute cat walking around the Old Town in Zurich!
While I was in Switzerland, I visited a village near Zurich called Grindelwald. This town is located in the Swiss Alps, which is a huge mountain range. The most famous mountain there is Eiger Mountain, which is 13,015 feet tall! I took a ski lift up to the top.
