What music did I listen to this week?:

While I was in Vienna, I went to a classical music concert. Vienna is known as “the capital of classical music.” Famous composers like Mozart lived and wrote music there hundreds of years ago.

What activity was the most fun this week?:

One of the most fun activities was trying local foods in each country. Vienna was extra special because it is famous for desserts. I tried three of the most famous desserts, which are: sachertorte (layered chocolate cake), apfelstrudel (similar to apple pie) and kaiserschmarrn (pancake bites covered with cinnamon and sugar).

What did I read this week?:

This week, I started reading a book in French to practice the language. It was tricky, but I learned many new words and I felt proud of myself for trying something challenging!

What games or sports did I play this week?:

I spent a lot of time traveling this week, so I played card games to pass the time. My favorites are Uno and rummy. They are fun to play on trains and planes!

This week, I celebrated New Year’s Eve in a new country! Fun Fact: In Hungarian, New Year’s Eve is called Szilveszter. I saw beautiful lights, decorations and happy people celebrating together. It was exciting to start the new year while traveling and learning about different cultures.
