The weather during the month of February is absolutely amazing. Costa Rica only has two seasons, the dry season and the rainy season. Right now, we are currently in the dry season, so every day is full of sunshine! Occasionally in the afternoon, we have a very light rain or mist that makes the brightest rainbows that I have ever seen! I really enjoy walking to school every morning, going to the park and walking around town in this weather. It makes it easy to enjoy the outdoors!
In Heredia Central, my primary city abroad, there are not very many animals that I see on a daily basis, even though in general, Costa Rica boasts an enormous amount of biodiversity. Some of the common animals that I see at central park are pigeons, squirrels, parrots, dogs, cats, chickens and roosters, and occasionally snakes. However, outside of the city, one could find jaguars, panthers, tapirs, monkeys, sloths and more. This week, I had the opportunity to feed the pigeons in the park!
