There, I went to a hummingbird and butterfly garden and also got to hike and see some amazing waterfalls! The trip from Alajuela to Heredia was about an hour and a half to two hours, and I got to spend the whole day in Alajuela!
I also really enjoyed visiting the Basilica in Cartago, Costa Rica. Cartago is much hotter and more rural province than Heredia in Costa Rica. When I visited the Basilica, I got to drink holy water from the fountain and tour the museum inside.
