The Tarantula Hawk Lives in the Jungle, Beach, and Mountains of Peru!

The tarantula hawk hunts these spiders and then lays its eggs on the spider. Its babies eat the spider when they are growing up. It also uses some of the plants that are in Peru to eat as food, and even uses them in mating rituals!

What can harm this creature or plant? Are we worried about it?:

The only animal that can harm (and eat) this insect is a roadrunner. Humans are very scared of these bugs because they have one of the most painful stings in the entire animal kingdom. It is ranked as the #2 worst insect sting or bite that someone can get. That means that it really hurts! But don't worry, the sting does not kill people, because the tarantula hawk is not venomous!
