How do I get around in Barcelona? This city has a great system that helps me get to work, go to the gym, or get ice cream with my friends. Here I will explain the TMB system, which helps residents and tourists (people who visit Barcelona from other places) to get around the city and see different places. My favorite way to get around, however, is the Funicular, a train car that takes me up the mountain.
In Barcelona, many people use the TMB system if they are going longer distances or if they do not want to walk. The "T" stands for tram, the "M" for metro and the "B" for bus. The bus looks just like a public bus you might see in your town, and there are stops all around the city. The tram is a big train that runs on the road with the cars, but with its own lane. The most popular way to get around is the metro, which is an underground train that takes people all around the city. However, there is one interesting way to get around in the area of Barcelona that is my favorite, and this is the "Funicular," a type of train that helps me go into the mountain area of Barcelona. It is very steep!
