I spent this weekend at my host family's house in Arenys de Mar, a town that is located in the mountains, but also near the beach! They have a beautiful house that sits among the mountains with a view of the water below. On their property, they have three caballos (horses), 12 gallinas (chickens) and one gato (cat)! There was a lot to do there, and I enjoyed relaxing with all of the animals.
I got to see horses and chickens this weekend. There were three horses. The mother horse was white with a black mane, and her two baby horses were both brown with black manes. The chickens varied in colors, from brown, to tan, to white and black!
I was very excited when I saw the chickens and horses. I loved to ride horses when I was little, so I was happy and wanted to pet them. I got to hold some chickens, too. They were soft, but hard to hold because they squirmed a lot! The horses were calm and even nudged me with their noses to show affection!
