I traveled 181 km from Cartago in the Cartago Province to La Fortuna in the Alajuela Province of Costa Rica. My friends and I rented a car, and it took about 3 hr 31 min to drive each way.
On my journey so far, I have been fortunate enough to travel to many places. I have been to the west coast of Costa Rica including the beach town of Tamarindo in the Guanacaste Province. I have also been to the Puntarenas Province, as well as many other places.
I normally get around just by bus and on foot. This week, however, my friends and I rented a cer to drive to La Fortuna.
The most interesting place I visited this week was the La Fortuna waterfall. I hiked down through the forest to get to the waterfall, and along the way, I saw many different types of tropicsl plant and animal species. I was able to swim in the pool at the base of the waterfall!
