I travelled very far this past week! For the Christmas holiday, I flew to the United States to spend the holiday with my grandmother and aunt. I was going to stay in Paraguay for Christmas but my family decided to have a reunion after Christmas. This reunion was with everyone on my dad's side of the family. My grandmother just turned 90 years old this past September, so we wanted to celebrate the special occasion! It was great to see all my family members again and to tell everyone about Paraguay. One of the best parts about living abroad is that you get to be a 'cultural ambassador,' or a person who helps introduce one culture to another group of people. Everyone was asking me questions about my time in Paraguay. I really enjoyed having the chance to tell them about the wonderful people I have met and the beautiful places I have visited within the country. I returned to Paraguay right before New Years on December 31st. After returning, I went to my friend's house to spend the holiday with her. It was great to start the New Year in Paraguay!
